Update for incoming 6th graders or any transfer st

For any incoming 6th-grade students, incoming 9th-grade students, and transfer students, please wait until after July 5 to complete their athletic forms!

Due to enrollment data not being transferred into RankOne until July 1st, public schools many not see incoming students until all of those steps are completed. Please allow time for this process to be completed.

Please reach out to our Athletic Director, Mrs. Sarah Willett at Sarah.willett@appo.k12.de.us if you have any questions.

DSMAC - Updates to PPE Forms for 2026-27

The DIAA Sports Medicine Advisory Committee (DSMAC) has approved updates to the Pre-participation Physical Examination (PPE) Medical Form for the 2026–2027 school year as DIAA transitions to electronic medical consent forms and digital submission through Rank One.

KEY UPDATES:

Under the updated process, the History Form and recommended Physical Examination Form will remain on file with the student-athlete’s Primary Care Practitioner (PCP) and will no longer be submitted to DIAA member schools. Student-athletes will only need to submit the updated School Athlete Medical Card, which now includes a designated section for the PCP to provide medical clearance and participation recommendations. The remaining pages in the PPE packet will be completed digitally as parent consent forms through Rank One.

The updated PPE packet for 2026–2027 is linked for your review, and will be posted to the website by the end of the week.

Please note that first-year school enterers (students entering middle school or high school for the first time) must still have the additional Department of Education recommended medical paperwork completed by their medical provider, which includes required screening and vaccination information.

Throughout April, DIAA will offer a series of optional webinar trainings for athletic directors, school nurses, athletic trainers, and other staff to assist with implementation and the transition to the new system for the fall. The intention is for Rank One to be fully operational by May, allowing high schools to begin submitting forms for the 2026–2027 school year and utilize all other platform functions, with final timing expected to be confirmed within the next month.

Athletic Directors will receive an email later next week with a list of optional webinar dates and additional resources for administrators and parents.
